![]() Loved the "middle third" of my first playthrough hated the beginning, hated the end, hated the writing (except character banter), and hated the lack of actual choice more than anything. DO prioritize Dhan-killing the Architect-eye every time one presents itself, as it seriously cuts down on damage from above cover. The part in the final battle where you have to wait next to the giant chasm and kill ~3 waves of normal enemies was absolutely the hardest part, but it's just a matter of moving between cover and using your Infiltrator scope to see through walls and determine if you're getting flanked. ![]() This is the only part where you'll have an extra wave of enemies because of slightly fewer allies. The first "wide open interior battle" is just a matter of staying on the upper level and not letting yourself get flanked. ![]() The Infiltrator's see-through-walls ability w/scoped weapons + Isharay w/health-based immediate reload means you'll be able to clear enemies by facing away from the big door, remote sweep & clear. Tip: On the outdoor "semi-final push", bunny-dash up the left side to the door, and fight backward. Plus with all the jump-dashing around, the Infiltrator dash breaks all forms of enemy lock in a pinch this saved me A LOT. Infiltrator + scopes + Pull + previously-unlocked Remnant VI + whatever 3rd skill you want, + Cora + Drack. Zero deaths during all Meridian missions. So I said screw it and was only slightly more careful about staying in cover. I didn't bother crafting new N7 armor nor replace my Isharay&Dhan&Cryoblade 8 set with 9 - the 1% armor stats and 5% weapon stats were simply not worth the 15-20min of carefully writing down the existing mods, and without all those Nexus points for the extra slot it would be even less beneficial to armor & biotic recharge. Re: "No Effect: Andromeda" - there is exactly ONE major difference, where a side character doesn't survive something. Even people I had barely talked to still showed up. I let most of the skippable dialogue in the final few missions play, so I could see if there were any differences. Wrap-up: The "rush-run" (including primary romance sidequests) is indeed about 8 hours. (So in total, for a rush playthrough, there's a missable on EoS and a missable on Meridian 1.) Tip on the first Meridian mission: If you're trying to save the option of getting all Remnant decrypts, don't forget the missable chest. Even while quick-clicking every conversation, I simply held the stick in the opposite direction(s) from the last playthrough, and net-change is a few lines of dialogue and a couple character swap-outs during cutscenes. ![]() Since you naturally never return to cryo at all using a speed-ish-run approach, your sibling is all butt-hurt during the mandatory cutscene and pushes you away. I finally found ONE choice that actually matters in this whole game, kind of. I'll craft my final set of weapons and N7 armor (a 15-20min process on its own "safety save game"), and report back final tallies & tips. I've managed to skip quite a bit of unnecessary XP by bunny-dashing to checkpoints, so I'm barely at lvl 70 (from 66) after returning the S.Ark to Nexus and talking to the folks in the Science lab. Total time thus far including Vetra's side mission (which finally feels "right" on Insanity) is about 5.5 hrs. Took Cardinal in one try with the same Dhan/Isharay/Bot combo I've always used no risky melee build needed. You'll have to go through the time and hassle of Peebee's quests again if you respec.and the combat droid is useless / made of paper by comparison. IMPORTANT TIP: Don't respec if you're a Remnant bot user!! You DO keep your unlocked & mapped bot from the very first moment of NG+, and he's a stellar bullet sponge/distraction. Tip: Choose Havarl scientists, not Voeld, to appease Evfra. So tip-wise, I can say if you're rushing your NG+ Insanity like I am, just don't miss the extra hard-to-find chest in the Eos vault, that way you can always do the rest at a future date if you desire. Abandoned the notion of getting all 20 Remnant puzzles, at least for now.
